This art experience is geared for
children who love to be creative. Techniques will be demonstrated,
examples shown, while their own creative ideas are encouraged. They're having fun enjoying the process of exploration and self
expression. Children love
the weekly themes of magical creatures, wild animals, birds, people, our pets and
ocean mammals. Examples of some art they'll make during bird week would be a clay bird
mask, a wire bird sculpture, a collage 3-d box environment of birds,
bird drawings, and a painting of a duck in watercolor.
They'll learn about the materials and about wild life too.
Always something new each year for the returning student. No
disruptive behavior problems allowed. Students
should wear clothes that can get dirty.
Visit Art Works Downtown, Tues
thru Sat 10 to 5 pm We have a gallery featuring new exhibits, retail stores and 30
artist studios, variety of classes available.
'It's so important to learn to be able to express
your self in a creative way. I love when they've
turned a blank piece of paper or ball of clay and make it into
something wonderful, then seeing the students smiles of confidence. It makes
my teaching art the best job I've ever
had." Susan
